We use artificial intelligence (AI) as a supporting tool in the creation, editing and optimization of content and digital services.

How We Use AI

AI may support us in particular with researching and structuring topics, creating and revising draft texts, and creating or editing illustrations, graphics, images and other visual elements.

We may also use AI to analyze, categorize and process information and to improve our digital services and internal processes.

For us, AI is a tool – responsibility for the content we publish remains with us.

Editorial Content

AI may be used to support various stages of our editorial processes. Where appropriate for the respective content, materials are reviewed, edited or approved by our editorial team.

Editorial responsibility for the content we publish remains with us and is not transferred to an AI system.

Images, Graphics and Illustrations

Our websites and publications may contain images, graphics and illustrations that have been created or edited, either fully or partially, using AI.

In particular, AI may be used to create illustrative or symbolic imagery in order to visually represent topics and situations. Such representations do not necessarily depict real people, companies, locations or events that have actually taken place.

Individual content will be specifically labelled where required by law. This applies in particular to artificially generated or manipulated content that, due to the way it is presented, could create the impression that a real person, location or event is being authentically depicted when this is not the case.

Responsibility and Transparency

We regard AI as a tool that supports human work. The use of AI does not change our responsibility for the content we publish.

We regularly review our use of AI and adapt our processes and transparency measures to reflect technological developments and evolving legal requirements, in particular the requirements of the European Union’s Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act).
